My Story
Vocal Canvas Studio is owned by Marlie van Vuuren, with a 14 year Primary and Secondary Teaching background located in Upper Kedron, Queensland. I have a Corporate Media and Communications Honours Degree, a Teaching Certificate and a passion for music and performance skills. I am a musician and songwriter with my own performing Acoustic band called Down2Now and a lead singer and keys-player for an all female band called Sass Sistas . Music has always been an integral part of my journey introduced to me by my Father Theuns Smith when I was only in year 3 and supported by my Mother Alettie throughout my musical journey. I have experience in songwriting, vocal technique expertise, conducting musicals, student choirs, ensemble groups and recording music. Join me on this journey!
